Frequently asked questions
It is in the Bajos del Toro area of Alajuela, in the mountains of Costa Rica’s Northern Zone. We send the exact meeting point on WhatsApp when you book.
No previous experience is needed: your certified guide teaches you the rappel technique and you practice before the first drop. It is a challenging tour, so you need good physical condition and to feel comfortable with heights and water.
The descent is led by a certified guide who checks your gear, controls every rappel from above and chooses the pace for the group. We only go into the canyon when the river conditions are safe.
The minimum is two people. If you are travelling alone, write to us on WhatsApp and we will tell you if there is a group you can join.
Canyoning depends on the river level. If rain raises the water and the canyon is not safe, your guide cancels the descent and we offer you another date or a full refund.
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour starts. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before, or no-shows, are not refunded.
